ABOUT ME
As a seasoned communications professional, I possess more than 20 years of public relations and brand strategy expertise in the fashion, parenting, and entertainment space, developing and executing consumer-facing campaigns and celebrity and influencer engagement to support business objectives. Because of my historical knowledge and experience that encompasses traditional print media, the dawn of the influencer age, and the current nexus of traditional PR and social media, I am able to blend my expertise to craft effective and thoughtful programming with a mature, insightful approach. I am an expert in helping global brands navigate the specifics of the US consumer marketplace and have worked with multiple Scandanavian, British, and French brands.
My productive, longstanding, and meaningful relationships in the lifestyle, parenting, and fashion industries have helped my consulting business flourish as I've been able to focus on constructing impactful narratives and consumer programs that cut through for technology-driven lifestyle, child-focused, culinary, fashion, and accessory brands. The key 1:1 relationships that I have directly with celebrities, influencers, entrepreneurs, creatives, and innovators has been carefully developed and nurtured over the course of my career. I’ve built a wide network of trusted resources that I’ve been able to organically integrate into my client’s campaigns resulting in meaningful, thoughtful, work.
I began my consulting business in the early part of 2015 and my roster of clients (current and past) has included: BABYBJÖRN, Aarke, Falcon Enamelware, Made by Gather, Happy Socks, Canticos, The Particulars, GLAMGLOW, BÉABA, Freya, Trove, Iconery, Thumbtack, 7 For All Mankind, WineSimple, and CellSavers.
Prior to my consultancy, I lead communications for the fashion, motors, collectibles, and celebrity verticals at eBay and focused on amplifying eBay’s position as one of the largest online marketplaces in the world. I was responsible for the perception-shifting global consumer communications strategy and narrative aligned with company business priorities and led product launches, executive communications, as well as influencer and celebrity engagement. I worked directly with fashion designers as well as fashion and entertainment industry leaders to create signature programs to positively position eBay Marketplaces as a unique shopping destination.
Prior to my 8+ year tenure at eBay, I was the editor-in-chief of a cult Bay Area beauty, fashion and lifestyle startup, Splendora.com. Moreover, I got my career start in the music industry working at BMG, Gavin (a radio-trade publication), and segued that experience to join the editorial team at the MTV Interactive (MTVi) group.
After nearly 13 years in the Bay Area, I am now based in Los Angeles where I live with my husband and two sons, Elliot (11) and Oliver (8).
